BE PART OF THE FUTURE
The Veterans Memorial Park & Museum is growing and expanding.
Hillsborough County Parks and Conservation Department, in association with
representatives from the Veterans Memorial Park Museum Improvement Committee
have prepared a conceptual Master Plan to direct future expansion and
improvements to the park. The Board of County Commissioners have funded the
initial phases and now is the time to be part of this beautiful improvement and
tribute to Hillsborough County citizens who have served this country, this
state, and this county with such devotion. NOW IS THE TIME FOR YOU TO BE PART
OF THE FUTURE!

The expansion includes a new two-story, 40,000-square-foot Veterans Complex that
will be home to a distinctive and unique museum dedicated to the memory of some
of Hillsborough County's finest citizens. Park improvements include a
dramatic helicopter hovering over the entryway along U.S. 301 to identify and to
direct visitors to each of the facilities within the Veterans Memorial Park.
Interconnected drives and pedestrian paths will lead to the impressive Theaters
of War exhibit, observation decks, viewing stands supporting reenactments, and
the museum building itself. The facility will also house the County's Veterans
Affairs Office, support facilities, parking, picnic and pavilions beneath deep
oak canopies.
BE PART OF THE FUTURE and help make this conceptual master plan a
reality. Through continued financial assistance for these park expansions and
improvements, the Veterans Memorial Park and Museum can be an inspirational
memorial where all people will come to reflect on the price of war and to
honor those who served. Explore how you can be part of this expansion.

open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am. To 3 pm., and on patriotic holidays.
With new membership on the committee, it may be possible to expand those hours.
All activities at the Museum and the Park are supported by an all-volunteer
