Committee

THE VETERAN COUNCIL OF HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, INC., was established by the Board of County Commissioners as the representative of different veterans organizations within the County.

The objective of the Council is to act as liaison between the County Government and the veteran's community in the County. It has responsibilities regarding Veteran-related legislation and Veterans benefits that effect county residents and their families. The Council also coordinates Veterans patriotic programs throughout the year, including but not limited to Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Patriots Day.

Your Veterans Council meets in Brandon each month on the last Monday at 5:00 pm. All members are urged to attend.

Regular speakers and events are discussed as well as possible legislative and community interest that fall within the charter. The Council is strongly supported by the Board of County Commissioners.

Donations create the park, and provide a way for you to participate in honoring our heroes.
